Meditation Garden & Columbarium
A peaceful walk through the Memorial Garden and Columbarium area offers a chance to sit, ponder and view the beautiful surroundings while paying a small tribute to those who have gone before us and are resting in one of the most beautiful places in Arizona.
You may notice the Memorial Garden area small wall has a unique shape. You will discover it is designed in the shape of a fish, or more technically, it’s the “ichthys” symbol (or, “Jesus’ fish). This symbol is a sign typically used to proclaim an affiliation with or affinity for Christianity. The fish was originally adopted by early Christians as a secret symbol, but the many variations known today first appeared in the 1980s.
Although this area is secured behind a locked gate, access to it is open every Sunday before and after Worship service and during the week, our staff is available from Monday through Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (closed for lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm).
